Who We Are

Never thought i’d see the day where i’m writing an “about me” section on our website, but here it goes!

Who are we? Well, meet Cody & Courtney Verhey. We both grew up in Lake Preston and have been childhood sweethearts that finally reconnected many years later! We have six children (yes, thats 6), although secretly Cody is my 7th child :)! We have 3 daughters and 3 sons ranging from 14 to 4 years old! To say we are never bored is very clear! If we aren’t at our brick and mortar store, we are at the school for sporting events or off finding tranquility in some local lake!

Magnolia became a dream of mine after attending school for Graphic Design! We had to create a business name during an advertising and marketing class and from there, I wasn’t done! I started out with just doing everything through social media to then a website and well, here we are! I never thought we’d own a store front but my husband is the greatest supporter out there and helped me realize my potential and pushed for this, i’m so glad he did!

As for my husband, he loves crafting and creating with me! You can typically find him weeding some sort of design or helping me package orders up! He loves working in Excel finding every way to improve our organization! Cody is a 12 year US Army Veteran that just recently finished his career with the Army. He did 2 tours and we are very grateful for this extra time we now get with Dad!

My life moto became one that I love utilizing in the store: You have to make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change!

MAJOR UPDATE!

Well, here we are, quite a few years later! Let’s just say that life happened! For those that have followed along with our business, Thank you! It’s because of you that we keep on going! Recently we just sponsored our 13 year old daughters Cheer Team for some new accessories and keepsakes as well as sponsored some Football families to get some Sports Photos! Always give back to your neighbor, not only is it the right thing to do, but one day they may be the person to hold that door for you! Oh, should I mention the most imporant part?! WE MOVED ACROSS THE COUNTRY!! We all know my health was an absolute nightmare! One day, my pulmonologist said “you need to move to the ocean” and I literally laughed! I thought he was a jerk for tormenting me with the thing I would love to do, live at the ocean…. yea he wasn’t joking! Cody and I both wrote down 4 places near the beach and somehow we both came up with Biloxi, Mississippi! Less than three months later, we were here! Have faith, all things follow through on that little designed path! We hope to have an updated family photo as soon as possible! Pray for our family as we fight for two of our other babies!
